In a nutshell: InQuicker is a cloud-based patient self-scheduling application that allows patients to schedule health care visits online in just two clicks. InQuicker: How it Works InQuicker: How it Works Last verified by Ben Martin on 03-26-2020 Step 1: The patient self-schedules an appointment in one of two ways: 1. Online search for physicians 2. Direct from your practice website Step 2: The patient completes and submits the online scheduling form. He or she then receives an appointment confirmation. Step 3: The patient’s scheduling information is shared with the provider in one of two ways: 1. Automatically populated into the practice management system 2. Fax or email notification Step 4: The patient is seen at the scheduled time and sent an online patient satisfaction survey within a few short hours – allowing for “real-time” feedback. Services & Service Lines Last verified by Ben Martin on 03-25-2020 Each health system can have multiple service lines. Each service line can have multiple services. (Alternately: Every service line belongs to a health system. Every service belongs to a service line.) Conceptually, you might want to think of a service line as a category. In a health system, you might have: Service Line: Diagnostic Imaging Service: CT Scan Service: MRI Service: X-Ray Service Line: Retail Services Service: Massage Therapy Service: Nail Services Adding service/service line options Both services and service lines are hardcoded. (ie. New services/lines cannot be added through the internal or console site.) The options for services and service lines are stored in the iqapp repo under the app/models/service folder. To add a new service, add a new file in that folder, and add it to default_service_lines in app/models/service_line. rb . If you want to map Beryl services to IQ services, you will also need to add it to the SERVICE_MAP in lib /health_system_sync/beryl_specialties.rb . Almost all services (ie. except Emergency Room, Immediate Care, and Pediatric Emergency Room) have this line in their model: has_config_defaults "service.has_practitioner", "on" If this line is not included in the model, when you choose this service when adding a schedule, the provider dropdown will not appear. Consequently, this means any schedules for that service cannot be integrated, because only schedules with providers can be integrated. The SCSS files reference service_permalinks(), which comes from sass_service_permalinks.rb . In order for the blue square/icon to appear next to your new services/lines on the frontend, the SCSS will need to be recompiled. Currently, the easiest way to do this is to make a change to a SCSS file (eg. changing margin: 0 0 0 0; to margin: 0;) Example pull request for adding a new service: https://github.com/InQuicker/iqapp/pull/3080 The options for services and services lines are exactly the same. If you want to add a new service option called "Cardiology", a new service line option called "Cardiology" will also be created. Adding services/service lines to a health system Both services and service lines can be added to a health system on Internal > Health Systems > [Health System] > Service Lines > New Service Line. The "Service Line Label" dropdown is where you select the service line. The checkboxes are where you select the services. The options in the dropdown and the checkboxes are exactly the same. Restrictions Each service line will automatically have a service created with the same name. (eg. If you create a new service line called "Primary Care", but don't check any checkboxes, a service called "Primary Care" will automatically be created under the "Primary Care" service line.) This service cannot be removed. This means it is impossible to have a service line without any services. Once you create a service line for a health system, you cannot create another service line with the same name for that health system. (eg. You can't have two service lines called "Primary Care" for the same health system.) Similarly, once you create a service for a health system, you cannot create another service with the same name under any service line for that health system. (eg. If you add a service line called "Geriatrics" and add "Geriatric Psychiatry" as a service under that service line, you cannot also add "Geriatric Psychiatry" under another service line called "Psychiatry".) Relationships Before you can add a schedule to a location, you need to create an access point. An access point is basically just a relationship between a location and a service line. If you add a Primary Care access point to XYZ Hospital, that means you can now create schedules at XYZ Hospital with either the Primary Care service or any other services that appear under the Primary Care service line. Every schedule has a service. Appointment Types - How to Remove an Appointment Type From a Schedule Appointment Types - How to Remove an Appointment Type From a Schedule Last verified by Ben Martin on 03-23-2020 Problem: Appointment Types and their time intervals are seen and selected by patients when they are scheduling an appointment with your provider. There may be times when you need to remove an appointment type for a provider’s schedule. This may occur when a provider no longer wishes this appointment type to be available for InQuicker patients to choose when they make an appointment online. You can accomplish this in the InQuicker Console. Environment: The InQuicker Console Resolution: 1. Once logged into the Consol...
